On Wednesday 30th March students and friends of Manchester University Mountaineering Club (MUMC) faced a 8,848 metre challenge, by climbing the equivalent height of Mount Everest at Summit Up Climbing in Oldham.
In only 12 hours (MUMC) climbed the 15 metre climbing wall at Summit Up an whopping 589 times! The reason? To raise money for Mountain Rescue England and Wales, a charity that relies on our donations to rescue hill-walkers, climbers and mountaineers when no-one else can.
