INCLUSIVE CLIMBING
We are delighted to announce our Inclusive Climbing program. This includes an Adults Climbing Social, a Summiteers SEN childrens climbing class and an exclusively inclusive soft play session.
Climbing offers many benefits for disabled and neurodivergent people. With the help of our fantastic volunteers, additional equipment and inclusive resources Summit Up can provide climbing opportunities for climbers needing additional support with mobility, sensory needs or understanding. Tuesday evenings at Summit Up are dedicated to Inclusive Climbing: the majority of the centre and the activities will be exclusively for disabled and neurodivergent customers. While other climbers are allowed on the main climbing wall, they are informed about the inclusive climbing activities and are considerate of them.
We are delighted to announce our Inclusive Climbing program. This includes an Adults Climbing Social, a Summiteers SEN childrens climbing class and an exclusively inclusive soft play session.
Adults Climbing Social exclusively for disabled and neurodivergent adults aged 18+ takes place every Friday from 2pm - 4pm.
If you have climbed before or are a new to climbing, you are welcome to come along. This is a drop in session, so you are able to stay as long or as little as you like.
There will be experienced staff and volunteers at the social to guide, encourage and support you.
Cost is £16 per person, and the first visit is complimentary.
Join Summiteers SEN. This is our fully inclusive climbing class for 7 - 18 year olds on Tuesdays 4pm - 6pm.
Summiteers SEN will be a fun climbing club whereby children can come along and try Roped Climbing, Bouldering and Clip 'n Climb. We also have a breakout area and sensory room available for those who wish to use them.
The sessions are fully inclusive and can be tailored to your child's specific needs.
Cost is £16 per person per week, and the first visit is complimentary.
Every Tuesday evenings between 4.30pm - 6.30pm, the Soft Play will be exclusive for disabled and neurodivergent people.
The cost is £4pp. There is no need to book.
At Summit Up our regular climbers have volunteered their time to work alongside our disabled and neurodivergent climbing sessions. All volunteers have had disability training and DBS checks.
