The Experience
Whether you have years of climbing experience or are just looking at starting out in this exciting sport Summit Up has you covered. Greater Manchester’s newest purpose built centre offers a huge variety of walls, angles and holds. One of the few centres in the UK which offers all Olympic sport climbing disciplines: Lead, boulder and Speed Climbing. Weekly route setting by top setters keeps our walls fresh, plus great staff, a community feel, a tasty cafe and facilities for the whole family. What’s not to love!

Climbing costs from only £8.50 for concessions and from £7 for bouldering. There is a range of payment options to suit your budget and needs. We have 10 climb passes, unlimited monthly climb passes and also monthly direct debit schemes available. See the full price list for all the options.

What are your opening times?
Our opening times are as follows:
Monday: 10am - 10pm
Tuesday: 10am - 10pm
Wednesday: 10am - 10pm
Thursday: 10am - 10pm
Friday: 10am - 10pm
Saturday: 9am - 7pm
Sunday: 9am- 7pm
Any changes to these times such as on bank holidays will be announced on the website, on social media as well as in the centre. If you are ever unsure of our opening times feel free to give us a call.
Do you have equipment available for hire?
Yes, harnesses, belay devices, chalk bags and climbing shoes are all available for hire at reception.
What are the minimum ages allowed in the climbing areas?
Our instructed sessions have minimum age restrictions which are detailed on the individual pages. Whilst children being brought to the centre and supervised by a competent adult member can be of any age, particular attention must be paid when supervising young children.

Are competent members able to supervise novices?
They certainly are. All necessary information relating to supervision of novices can be found in the 'Novice Supervision' page on the drop-down menu.
Do you have lockers?
Yes we do. We have a selection of lockers available throughout the centre for which you can either bring your own padlock or borrow one of ours for a returnable deposit.
