Typically the last session of the day starts at 8pm Monday - Friday and 5:30pm at weekends. The sessions are 90 minutes in duration.

Do I need to pre-book?

Pre-booking of your Clip ‘n Climb session is always recommended as our sessions have a limited capacity and can fill up quickly.

You can call in on the spur of the moment but there is no guarantee that we will have spaces available.

I have no previous climbing experience, is Clip 'n Climb for me?

Clip ‘n Climb is designed to be fun for EVERYONE regardless of ability! The difficulty of our challenges vary so there’s something for everyone to have a go at, from beginners to experts. Our staff will also be there to assist with those less confident.

Are there any age restrictions?

Anyone aged 4 and upwards is welcome to climb in our arena.

For the smallest climbers we have our Rhyme 'n Climb sessions especially for the 2-4 year olds. Session times can be found in the booking system.

Are there any weight restrictions?

The minimum weight you have to be is 10kg and the maximum weight restriction is 150kg. This is to allow our Auto Belay to function safely.

Is Clip 'n Climb just for kids?

No, Clip ‘n Climb is as much for adults as it is for children! We run sessions in the evening during the week and at weekends if you wish to avoid sessions that are likely to include lots of children. There are three challenges on every wall of varying difficulty and adults are sure to be challenged to achieve maximum points. There are also a number of walls to test competitive instincts including the timed Speed Walls and Face to Face challenge.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing and trainers.

Open toed shoes, flip flops, boots, crocs, heels or climbing shoes are not permitted in the Clip 'n Climb arena.

Long hair must be tied back and all loose jewellery, hats or hooded tops must be removed prior to climbing for safety reasons.

Do I need to bring any equipment with me?

No, equipment is provided by us and there are no additional hire fees for this.

How long do Clip 'n Climb sessions last?

90 Minutes – Sessions comprise of a 30 minute safety briefing and harness fitting, followed by 55 minutes in the arena and 5 mins to debrief and remove your harnesses.

When do I need to arrive?

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your session so we can ensure you are signed in and ready for briefing.

Your briefing starts at the time slot you have booked. Should you arrive late you may be asked to wait until after the session has started to have your harness fitted and safety briefing before entering the climbing arena.

What are 'The Leap of Faith' and 'Vertical Drop Slide' and how do I book them?

For those wanting an extra level of challenge why not try one of our thrilling bolt ons?

The Leap of Faith sees you ascending to a small platform before taking a leap to try and hit the hanging punch bag. As the position of the punch bag is adjustable each leap is a different challenge!

The Vertical Drop Slide challenges you to suit up, hang on and see how high you are willing to go!

Tokens for either activity can be purchased as an add on when booking for £2.00 or on the day for £2.50.

Do you have lockers?

Yes, we have small lockers available by our reception that are free to use. They are big enough for a coat or a small bag.

As loose jewellery can't be worn whilst climbing we would recommend leaving it at home or alternatively it can be left in these lockers at your own risk.

Can I leave my child unattended?

Children under 12 years need a responsible adult on site, but from 12 and over they can be left here unattended providing an under 18’s disclaimer has been signed by a parent or guardian.

You can always watch the action from our cafe whilst enjoying a tasty drink or snack.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Indeed we do. They are available to purchase over the phone or in person, and these can be posted to your home address for just a small surcharge to cover postage costs.
