Instructed outdoor climbing sessions for adults and families at Hobson Moor Quarry.
Join us at Hobson Moor Quarry for climbing sessions with our knowledgable and experienced instructors. There will be 1 instructor to 8 climbers.
All adults who attend must have previously climbed at Summit Up and passed our on site competency check
There are back up dates planned for each session in case of poor weather. Please ensure you are available for both dates when you book.
You will need a harness, belay plate and a helmet. If you do not have your own, you can hire these from us.
Climbing shoes are preferred but not necessary. Climbing shoes are available to hire from us. Please let us know which equipment you would like to hire when booking.
This is a full day of climbing from 10am – 4pm for £60pp.
The back up date is 29th April.
This is an evening of climbing from 6pm -9pm for £30pp. This is a woman’s only event. (You do not need to be part of the Women’s Social group)
The back up date is 10th May.
Please note that due to staff qualifications this session will be run by a male instructor.
This is a full day of climbing from 10am – 4pm for £60pp.
The back up date is 27th May.
For our family day children must be accompanied by their legal guardian. If you will only be belaying your child and not climbing, the rate is £5pp.
This is an evening of climbing from 6pm -9pm for £30pp.
The back up date is 14th June.

Do you have a budding young climber who would like to progress their climbing? The National Indoor Climbing Awards Scheme (NICAS) is for 7 years and above. However if you child is too young to start the NICAS pathway, we have NICAS Clip for 6 years and above.
Join us for our second film night at Summit Up Climbing Centre. Inspirational adventure and climbing films on Thursday 7th December. A minimum donation of £5 includes free pizza. All proceeds go to CAC Climbers Against Cancer.
Join us for a talk and Q & A on the importance of avoiding injuries in climbing. Sustaining injuries can be a major roadblock in your climbing journey. If you're interested in learning more about injury prevention, join Andrew Mcvittie, a physiotherapist at Process Physiotherapy, for an informative Q&A session on Thursday, November 30th at 6pm. Andrew will share valuable insights and answer any questions you may have.
