This includes an Adults Climbing Social, a Summiteers SEN children’s climbing class and an exclusively inclusive soft play session up to the age of 18. BENEFITS OF CLIMBING FOR DISABLED AND NEURODIVERGENT PEOPLE

Climbing offers many benefits for disabled and neurodivergent people. The benefits of climbing go far beyond just physical health; they include opportunities to socialise, build confidence, develop body awareness, and foster trust. Plus, there's the thrilling chance to experience an adrenaline rush!

Summit Up has always taken pride in its commitment to inclusivity, welcoming individuals with additional needs to participate in any of our sessions. Now, thanks to our amazing volunteers, enhanced equipment, and inclusive resources, Summit Up can offer climbing opportunities for those who require extra support with mobility, sensory needs, or comprehension.

INCLUSIVE CLIMBING

On Fridays between 2pm and 4pm we are launching a new Adult Climbing Social. On Tuesdays between 4pm and 6pm we are launching our Summiteers SEN sessions and Inclusive Soft Play sessions.

On Tuesday, most of the centre and the activities will be exclusively for disabled and neurodivergent customers. While other climbers are allowed on the main climbing wall, they are informed about the inclusive climbing activities and are considerate of them.

ADULTS CLIMBING SOCIAL FOR DISABLED AND NEURODIVERGENT ADULTS AGED 18+

Adults Climbing Social exclusively for disabled and neurodivergent adults aged 18+ takes place every Friday from 2pm - 4pm.

There will be experienced staff and volunteers at the social to guide, encourage and support you.

We encourage climbers and carers to socialise in our South Ridge cafe before or after the session.
