Membership Terms and Conditions
Terms & conditions (V2 September 2025)
- Membership covers entry to the bouldering wall (Bouldering only membership), Bouldering Wall and Auto Belay climbs in the roped climbing area (Autos and Bouldering membership), or the Roped climbing walls, Auto Belay climbs in the roped climbing area and Bouldering walls (Ropes, Auto and Bouldering membership) at Summit Up climbing centre. Use of the Clip n Climb walls are excluded from this membership.
- Membership begins from the date it is set up. It continues indefinitely until terminated by you or Summit Up Climbing. Following the initial card payment, payment will be taken by direct debit each month on the anniversary of it being set up or the nearest working day to this.
- If you cancel your direct debit within 14 days of setting it up, we will refund your first payment less the normal entry fee for any visits you have had since setting it up.
- If you wish to terminate your membership you must inform Summit Up in writing by letter or email to [email protected] of your intention to cancel. This must arrive at Summit Up at least 5 working days before the next payment is due to ensure we have time to cancel the direct debit mandate. Once cancelled you will be entitled to continue climbing for free until the due date of the next cancelled payment. No refunds will be given for unused payments.
- Provided payment is made each month and the agreement is not terminated then the monthly payment is guaranteed to stay the same until at least 31/3/2027. Should a payment be missed, or the membership terminated and then restarted then the payment will increase to the price currently available to new members at the point of re-joining. Freezing your membership except in agreed circumstances * will be counted as terminating the agreement regarding this. * Exceptions may be made on an individual basis for long term injury or illness, this must be agreed with Summit Up prior to when the next payment comes due.
- There are no set up or cancellation fees. Summit Up reserves the right to reclaim any costs occurred due to declined payments. Should a payment be missed, your membership will be suspended until any payments due are made.
- Direct Debit Guarantee
- The Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits
- If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit the organisation will notify you (normally 10 working days) in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request the organisation to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request
- If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by the organisation or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society
- If you receive a refund, you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when the organisation asks you to
- You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify the organisation.

- 10% discount on all Café products
- The direct debit member must be present, and the members card must be scanned at the café till before making your order.
- Payment must be made electronically by credit/debit card or android/apple pay. No cash payment will be accepted for discounted items.
- This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
- One free hot drink per visit.
- The direct debit member must be present, and the members card must be scanned at the café till before making your order.
- The drink is for consumption by the direct debit member only.
- One free drink per day. Unused days cannot be carried over
- 10% discount on items from the climbing shop
- The direct debit member must be present, and the members card must be scanned at the till before making your purchase.
- Payment must be made electronically by credit/debit card or android/apple pay. No cash payment will be accepted for discounted items.
- The discount is for climbing products only. Clip n Climb and Summit Up Branded Merchandise and clothing are excluded from this offer.
- One free guest pass per month.
- The Guest must be new to the roped climbing and bouldering at Summit Up
- The guest must be signed in by the Direct Debit member.
- One pass per calendar month. Unused passes cannot be carried over.
- 10% discount of a standard Clip n Climb for family and friends.
- The booking must be made by the direct debit member either by logging into their account online or in person at the centre.
- Payment must be made electronically by credit/debit card or android/apple pay. No cash payment will be accepted for discounted items.
- Maximum group size 5
- Standard Clip n Climb sessions only. Mini Mountaineers, adult only, home ed, SEN and other special sessions excluded.
- 10% discount on adult climbing courses
- The booking must be made by the direct debit member either by logging into their account online or in person at the centre
- Payment must be made electronically by credit/debit card or android/apple pay. No cash payment will be accepted for discounted items.
- The course participant must be the direct debit member or an immediate family member.
- Adult skills/coaching courses only, Mountain Training and Summiteers courses excluded.
- For bespoke courses the discount will be taken off the peak or off-peak bespoke price.
- Free equipment rental
- The direct debit member must be present, and the members card must be scanned at the till before you hire the equipment.
- The equipment is for the use of the direct debit member or their climbing partner(s) only.
- Excludes head torch hire on lights out nights
- Summit up climbing centre reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions at any time. Notice of any changes will be given to allow time for you to cancel your membership prior to the date the changes are due to come into force. All notices will be sent by email to the address provided.
