The Summit Up Winter Boulder League is back, bringing you fresh boulder problems, monthly challenges and the chance to battle your way up the leaderboard!
Each round brings a new set of problems to tackle, giving you the chance to test your strength, technique and problem-solving skills against other climbers.
Our Winter Boulder League is your chance to push your climbing, take on a new set of problems each month and see how you stack up against other climbers. Every round is another opportunity to earn points, climb the leaderboard and work towards a podium finish.
Whether you're a regular on the bouldering wall or trying your first climbing league, everyone is welcome to get involved. With prizes for the top climbers, a live leaderboard and a raffle packed with climbing gear, there's plenty to play for!
There are four categories, with all abilities welcome in each:
Adult Male
Adult Female
Under 18 Male
Under 18 Female
You don't need to be an experienced competition climber to take part. The league is open to everyone, from newer boulderers to experienced climbers.
The Winter Boulder League runs from December through to March, with a fresh round of boulder problems to tackle each month.
Each round gives you the chance to collect points, improve your ranking and move up the league leaderboard.
Take on the problems at your own pace throughout each round, record your results and see how you compare with other climbers.
The more problems you complete, the more points you can earn!
We're using Griptonite to manage the league, record scores and keep the leaderboard updated.
Pay your £5 league entry fee at reception. This covers the entire league!

Each month scan the Winter Boulder League QR code at reception to join.
Get climbing and record your completed problems directly through the app.
Keep an eye on the live leaderboard throughout the league to see how you're progressing and where you rank in your category.
Every problem counts, but not every problem is worth the same!
We're using Griptonite's Dynamic Scoring System, which rewards climbers for completing problems based on how many other competitors manage to top them.
Each boulder problem starts with a value of 1,000 points, which is shared between everyone who successfully completes it.
The fewer climbers who complete a problem, the more points it's worth to each successful climber!
For example:
If only one climber completes a problem, they earn the full 1,000 points.
If five climbers complete it, they each earn 200 points.
If ten climbers complete it, they each earn 100 points.
So those tricky problems that only a handful of climbers manage to top could make a big difference to your position on the leaderboard!
Keep it fair! You'll be recording your own results through Griptonite, so please score honestly and accurately. We're relying on everyone to keep the competition fair and fun.
Taking part in our Summit Up Boulder Competition on 27th–29th November?
Good news! The competition problems will also form the first set of routes for Round 1 of the Winter Boulder League in December.
That means you can use your completed problems from the November competition towards your first league round.
Two competitions, one set of problems and even more chances to challenge yourself!
Climb Your Way to the Podium!
There will be prizes for the top three climbers in each of our four categories at the end of the league.
With points to collect across the rounds, there's plenty of opportunity to improve your position and work your way up the leaderboard.

You don't have to finish at the top to be a winner!
Everyone who enters the Winter Boulder League will automatically be entered into our prize raffle, with some great climbing gear up for grabs.

We're stripping our entire bouldering area and setting a brand-new range of competition problems to put your climbing to the test. Expect challenging moves, tricky sequences and plenty of opportunities to push your limits, rack up points and climb your way up the leaderboard!
